Sources

Our goal is to make Yahoo! News as comprehensive as possible. We continue to add additional news sources, on an ongoing basis. Currently we provide stories from the following Reuters services:

• Reuters Online Report - up-to-the-minute coverage of the day's top stories, as well as the latest news in business, technology, sports, entertainment, politics and world news.
• Reuters Financial News - complete coverage of what's happening on Wall Street. This is the same news used by traders around the world. For more information, check out the On the Money FAQ.
• Reuters Health Daily - up-to-date coverage of the latest advances and research findings in health, medicine and nutrition.

Yahoo! News also provides headlines, stories and information from the following sources:

• ZD NET - the latest hi-tech news from leading sources such as PC Week, PC Magazine, MacWEEK and Inter@ctive Week.
• Yahoo Scoreboard - the fastest and most comprehensive site on the Web for complete sports scores, previews, recaps, schedules, statistics and more for your favorite teams.
• ESPNET SportsZone - a bonus for Yahoo! sports fans. Click on the headline in Yahoo! to read the story at SportsZone, which includes links to unique features such as player biographies and more.

• Yahoo! Weather - world-wide five-day weather forecasts and color satellite photos and movies. Also available for North America are tempurature maps and weather front images.

How Often is News Updated?

Update schedules vary, depending on the news service. In Eastern Time:

• Reuters Top Stories: hourly, daily
• Reuters Business News: 6 am, 8 am and 6 pm, M-F; 8 am Sat. & Sun.
• Reuters Technology News: Noon and 5 pm, M-F
• Reuters Sports News : 1 am, 5 am, noon and 8 pm, daily
• Reuters Entertainment News: hourly, daily
• Reuters Political News: 7 am, 2 pm and 7 pm, M-F, 3 pm Sat. & Sun.
• Reuters World News: 8 am, 11 am and 5 pm, M-F
• Reuters Health Daily: 6 pm, M-F
• ZD Net News: 2 pm, M-F
• ESPNET SportsZone: every 2 hours, daily
• Yahoo! Scoreboard: every 5 minutes, daily
• Yahoo! Quotes: Continuous updating, 15-minute delayed. U.S. stock markets are open 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.
• Yahoo! Weather: 8 am, 5 pm, daily

How Long is News Archived?

News stories are archived for up to seven days. The archiving process is continuous and occurs after each fresh update of stories. Included is a news search capability which helps you find archived stories quickly and easily.

Errors or Comments Specific to News Stories

Send feedback directly to Reuters at: [email protected]. Please be sure to reference the data of the story, the author, and the headlines. This will enable Reuters to pass the story to the appropriate person.

Formatting Problems and Outdated Stories

Generally, errors in formatting are the result of an error in the news feed received by Yahoo! These usually resolve themselves. The story with the correct formatting codes is resent with the next update. If an outdated story appears in a news service on Yahoo!, it more than likely means that a story was mistakenly sent through the news feed, or that we are having a problem with our archiving. As with formatting errors, these are fixed automatically. If either formatting errors or outdated stories are persistant, notifications can be submitted to the following email addresses:

How to Submit a Press Release

All company press releases and news stories available on Yahoo! originate from other sources. If you are interested in having your company's press releases show up on Yahoo!, contact PR Newswire and/or Business Wire. For a fee, either of these services will make sure hundreds of news services are aware of any company announcements.

Using Reuters News Stories on Your Site

Yahoo! only has the right to redistribute and post Reuters news stories on the Yahoo! site. Any redistribution of Reuters news is strictly prohibited. Licensing information and/or permission can be obtained by contacting Reuters New Media directly.
