The Year 2000 Announcement List is a low volume mailing list that provides notification of updates to this web site, including announcement of new technical articles and new vendors that join the site. Approximately twice a month, this free newsletter from de Jager & Company Limited and The Tenagra Corporation is distributed to members of this mailing list, and special announcements will also be made from time to time.The names and e-mail addresses of the subscribers to this list will be kept private by de Jager & Company Limited and The Tenagra Corporation.
In addition to this Announcement List, an open Year 2000 Discussion List that is run by de Jager & Company Limited also operates on a shareware basis:
If you just want to receive an update now and then about this web site and general Year 2000 issues, then you should only subscribe to this free Announcement List.
If you also want to participate in a high volume discussion with others (typically 20 posts a day) then you should select the "radio button" option below to subscribe to the Discussion List -- it's not for everyone, but the 1000+ subscribers on the list that are involved in Year 2000 issues on a daily basis find it very a very valuable and useful resource. While the Announcement List is free, the cost of joining the Discussion list is $50 US/year. You can sign up to try out the Discussion List for free so you can decide on its value to you. If you have not sent in payment after 30 days (instructions will be sent to you) you will be removed from the list.
Filling out and submitting the form below will subscribe you to the Year 2000 Announcement List (and Discussion List too if you select that option). If your browser does not support forms, you can also subscribe by sending an e-mail to [email protected] with the ONLY the text SUBSCRIBE in the body or content of the message (not in the subject).
You should receive a message back saying that you have been unsubscribed.
If instead you receive a message indicating that your e-mail address "is not a member of list 'year2000-announce'", then please send an e-mail, **with your subscription e-mail address**, to us at [email protected] and explain what happened. We will try to manually unsubscribe you from the list.
